Plane Project

Cleaned, etched, alodined, and primed the rudder skin and stifners.

Debured and dimpled the rudder skin and stifners.

Hung the vertical stabilizer on the ceiling.

I didn’t take very many pictures building the rudder so these posts will be rather brief.

Cut out and shaped the rudder skin stiffners.

I rived the end ribs to the skin and the rear spar to the ribs.  The vertical stabilizer is done!

Next, on the the rudder.

After riveting the skin to the front spar and center rib, I slapped on the rear spar.  Father stopped by so I watched as he squeezed.
