Rivet Rear Spar structure and skin

I’m finally done riveting the rear spar.  Father stopped by for a while so I let him have a little of the fun.  He decided maybe the price of a pneumatic squeezer wasn’t so unreasonable after all. . . .  ;)

We riveted the ribs and front spar.

Began riveting the rear spar (sorry no pictures).  For those that haven’t had the pleasure of squeezing 1/8″ rivets, this is mildly entertaining.  Let’s just say it can be considered strenuous exercise.  It takes every bit of strength I have and I need to take frequent breaks to recuperate.  About a third of the way there!

Countersinked Spar Stiffner

Received a new #30 countersink cutter today, so I could continue.  The one that came with my tool kit had an oversized pilot.
