November 8th, 2008Began riveting the rear spar (sorry no pictures). For those that haven’t had the pleasure of squeezing 1/8″ rivets, this is mildly entertaining. Let’s just say it can be considered strenuous exercise. It takes every bit of strength I have and I need to take frequent breaks to recuperate. About a third of the way there!
Countersinked Spar Stiffner
November 6th, 2008Received a new #30 countersink cutter today, so I could continue. The one that came with my tool kit had an oversized pilot.
Debur and dimple VS
November 1st, 2008Debured the VS and dimpled the holes that were to be flush riveted.
Drilling VS
October 28th, 2008Clecoed on the VS skin and match drilled.
